Illinois has a variety of great camping options for those with a Mini-T campervan, with both large and small campsites. 

Whether you're looking for a state park with hiking trails and fishing opportunities or a scenic spot to relax and unwind, Illinois has it all. Here are some suggestions for camping with your new campervan if heading to Illinois specifically to camp or just passing through:

Starved Rock State Park: With 129 campsites, including 60 with electric hookups, Starved Rock State Park is a great place to Camp. This park is known for its beautiful hiking trails, fishing opportunities, and scenic views of the Illinois River.

Kankakee River State Park: This park features 110 campsites, including 33 with electric hookups, and is a popular spot for fishing and canoeing. The park also has hiking trails and picnic areas for visitors to enjoy.

Illinois Beach State Park: Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Illinois Beach State Park has 241 campsites, including 30 with electric hookups. This park is a great place for swimming, hiking, and fishing, and offers beautiful views of the lake.

Rock Cut State Park: Rock Cut State Park has 270 campsites, including 68 with electric hookups, and is a popular spot for hiking, fishing, and boating. The park also has several picnic areas and playgrounds for families to enjoy.

Pere Marquette State Park: With 80 campsites, including 18 with electric hookups, Pere Marquette State Park is a great place to stop and enjoy the great outdoors for a day trip or an overnight. Shawnee National Forest: The Shawnee National Forest has several camping options, including designated campgrounds and dispersed camping areas, making it a great place to stop, camp and explore the great outdoors. The forest is known for its hiking trails, rock climbing, and scenic natural areas.

Moraine Hills State Park: With 120 campsites, including 54 with electric hookups, Moraine Hills State Park is a great place to Camp in and enjoy the outdoors. The park has several hiking trails and scenic lakes for visitors to explore.

Mississippi Palisades State Park: This park has 241 campsites, including 110 with electric hookups, and is located in the northwestern part of the state. It's known for its hiking trails and scenic views of the Mississippi River, making it a great place to Camp, play and take in the scenery.
